Installing a FTP server

Hi,

I’m trying to install a FTP server.

Lets get the advice out of the way.

Yes - that is what I want to do.
Yes - it’s secure for this purpose.
No - it’s not on the public internet.

I’m quite new to this. Do I need to rebuild the entirety of Legato, or can I add this. Can something like apt-get be added to the Legato image ?

The WP8584 is up to date, or very close.
Device: WP8548

Would appreciate any pointers,

Kind Regards,

Hello Gavin,

  • You want to create a FTP server application based on Legato or install a “classic linux” FTP server (With No legato dependency)?

  • In the case classic linux" FTP server, you want:

    1. That legato-af start your server (Sanboxed or not) ?
    2. Classic Linux startup ? (/etc/init.d/your_ftp_server) ?

Best regards,
Sylvain

Hi Sylvain,

A classic Linux style plain FTP server, no ssh etc.

An init.d start would be best for now.

KR, Gavin.
