Plan to update kernel version?

Hi all,
is there any plan to update the official legato distribution to a more recent kernel version?
If I got it right 3.18 is the current version which is not that up to date any more.

Also the Yocto Version (2.5) is not that fresh.

I believe next migration will probably be 4.14
