The reference code (as seen here) is not correct, the following line: tempSensor_ChangeHandlerRef_t clientHandlerFunc = secondLayerHandlerFunc; has to be: tempSensor_ChangeHandlerFunc_t clientHandlerFunc = secondLayerHandlerFunc; Thanks again
