# vs code with example code error

Hello,

I am trying to build an example app from GitHub with vs code and legato plugin. I am getting error as

identifier “le\_avdata\_AssetInstanceRef\_t” is undefined

I have previously built and tested the first app on target wp7608  
I am not sure what files are having such defines or why are they not included in the dev environment. Attaching screen capture for reference. Any suggestions will help

@eshwar1, you need to include this API in your .adef/.cdef file
