# UART1/ttyHSL0 disabled (Legato 16.07, WP85)

Hello Forum,

How to enable the ttyHSL0 uart?

> [0.212055] msm\_serial\_hsl\_probe: **_ttyHSL0 is disabled._**  
> [0.212574] msm\_serial\_hsl\_probe: ttyHSL1 could be used as generic serial port.  
> [0.212574] msm\_serial\_hsl\_probe: detected port #1 (ttyHSL1)

* * *

> cat /sys/devices/platform/msm\_serial\_hsl.1/config  
> APP  
> cat /sys/devices/platform/msm\_serial\_hsl.0/config  
> **_DISABLED_**

Yet the configuration looks correct:

> AT!MAPUART?  
> !MAPUART: 17,17
