# le\_temp\_StartMonitoring function call always fails

Hi,

my application runs on a WP7607 target and is based upon Legato 19.02.  
I’m able to set following temperature threshold values:  
PA\_HI\_NORMAL\_THRESHOLD 100  
PA\_HI\_CRITICAL\_THRESHOLD 130

PC\_LO\_CRITICAL\_THRESHOLD -45  
PC\_LO\_NORMAL\_THRESHOLD -40  
PC\_HI\_NORMAL\_THRESHOLD 100  
PC\_HI\_CRITICAL\_THRESHOLD 130

The log information shows me that the platform uses a fixed internal WARNING level which fits in between my normal and critical threshold levels.

_pa\_temp\_qmi.c GetPlatformEnvironement() 236 | Get Power Ctrl lo\_crit.-45, lo\_nor.-40, hi\_nor.100, **hi\_war.110** , hi\_crit.130_

When I call the API function le\_temp\_StartMonitoring(), the warning threshold is suddenly changed into ‘129’, and the function always fails.

_swiQmi.c swiQmi\_CheckResponse() 795 | Sending QMI\_DMS\_SWI\_SET\_ENVIRONMENT\_REQ\_V01 failed: rc=0 (), resp.result=1.[0x01], resp.error=1.[0x01]_  
_pa\_temp\_qmi.c pa\_temp\_StartMonitoring() 724 | Failed to Set Temperature thresholds, rc 0, resp 1_

Why does this StartMonitoring function always fail?
